A scientific first: A supernova explosion is observed in real time you know you’re a nerd when you read something like this and think omg! wtf!  then realize that ‘real-time’ is not the same thing as ‘objective time’, i.e. we have not discovered a way to travel 90 million+ years back in time + 90 million lightyears across a bit of the universe to actually watch it happen.
